Product Review & Giveaway - Auromere Ayurvedic WINNER ANNOUNCED!

According to Ayurvedic medicine (aka medicine used in India and by yogis like Mr. Chopra), a person has something called a dosha, and their dosha is either a Vata, a Pitta or a Kapha. I learned the differences between the doshas when I was in yoga school. Its pretty interesting, a Vata person has dark hair, dark eyes, tends to run around alot, high energy, constantly busy, on overdrive and is usually skinny. A Pitta person has a medium build, red tip on the nose, easliy passioned, lighter brown or dark blonde hair and not dark eyes but not too light eyes. A Kapha person is like the motherly person, who is a little heavier, has light hair, light eyes, big eyes and big lips and have a more lax lifestyle. The medicine is used, after taking into consideration a person's dosha to balance the types in a person. So if someone is a Vata person, they might want more relaxing herbs, for a pitta, more soothing, and for a kapha, more invigorating. Here is more info on doshas if you're interested in finding out which one you are. I wanted to describe these for you, because a company called Auromere has created soaps made for each persons specific dosha! I've only ever seen this before at the Chopra Center where I go to meditate sometimes where they have teas for each dosha, but the soap idea is awesome!! Because, in addition to what I described above, the characteristics of a person's skin also relates to their dosha. So if you have oily skin usually, the soap you'd want is for more of a Kapha person, ifyou have dry, the soap you'd want is for the Vata person. Here are what the soaps look like -
Their soaps are handmade and come in scents like lavender -neem and vanilla neem. Trying these products, it was the first time I've heard of Neem. I used a little of the neem balm on a dry spot one night and the next morning, gone. Its actually used by Ayervedic specialists to treat acne, psoriasis, eczema, septic sores, burns, insect bites, muscle soreness, warts and skin ulcers. I guess I know what I'm putting in my next batch of soap!! The Neem oil thats in the balm is known for its antiseptic, anti-inflammatory, antimicrobial and analgesic properties. Lab tests have even shown its effective against atheletes foot and ringworm!

Another product is their incense HAND ROLLED in India with all natural oils. They offer 24 fragrances, I got to try their cinnamon, all I can say is closing my eyes and smelling the cinnamon with the Indian type of smell, I don't know any other way of describing that smell that incense has when its the really good kind, made me feel like pure relaxation. The incense is a little pricey, I'm used to buying mine at like the Dollar Store, but the scent is stronger and it lingers longer, not to mention the smoke keeps away bugs!

Auromere is offering one of you a giveaway of an 8 piece handrolled incense sampler!
