Seventh Generation Free & Clear Starter Kit Review & Giveaway!

I've been cleaning with baking soda and white vinegar for close to a year now. I'm so happy and excited to be cleaning with all green products (that happen to not be expensive as well).  In the beginning when I first switched, it was fine. The bathtub maintained its whiteness and the toilet, its clean smellingness. However, I guess because of time, the bathtub started to accumulate this dark shadow down the middle. I used and scrubbed with baking soda, but it didn't take away the shadow. And the toilet started to smell. Even when I scrubbed baking soda, flushed and then later scrubbed white vinegar. I figured I needed something alittle stronger, but that would still be good for the environment. I truly believe in being good to the environment as much as possible, while using products that work, thats the catch! The products have to work! So I contacted Seventh Generation for a product to review. Thankfully, they have products that do the trick, they are green...and they work! :)  You know the company, the one with the cute commercials where the girl walks out of a house thats shaped like a blue circle tree house kinda, has products that truly clean with a wipe and also are green and good for the environment.  They must've felt so bad for me and my yucky smelling toilet because they generously sent us a Free and Clear Starter Kit for review!!  When I first received the box, I was kind of surprised how many products were included in the kit. There was laundry soap, bathroom cleaner (thank God!), window cleaner, disinfectant wipes, dish detergent, recycled paper towels and a few other items. I had just run out of laundry detergent (and if you had checked out last weeks frugal tip friday, you'll know how I  made my own from the Common Cents Home guest blogging tip!), so the laundry soap was just like a little sprinkles on top. The bathroom spray was amazing!! First I sprayed it in the tub and scrubbed. I rinsed, grime came off that I had no idea was there, and while the shadow was lighter, it still remained.  So I thought maybe the bathroom spray lifted the stain enough and I could go ahead with the baking soda and that would be like double time and the shadow would go away. Well it worked! After using both the disinfectant bathroom cleaner (that has things like thymol which is a component of thyme oil, citric acid, and oregano oil), and baking soda my shadow was gone and the tub looked a sparkling white again! Next I had to conquer the fowl smelling toilet. No joke, about 5 sprays of the bathroom cleaner with a little scrub, and the smell was gone. I was shocked. Now, I plan on definetly using white vinegar and baking soda, but keeping bathroom disinfectant spray around as well, and I can use all of them guilt free because they are green and earth friendly!

And not only did I get to try out the Free & Clear Starter Kit, but Seventh Generation has graciously offered one of you a chance to win one too!
