You could use them to hold q-tips in your bathroom. It looks really pretty on a toilet or vanity top.
You could use a tea tin to hold extra pens and markers on your desk.
Or, (and this is my favorite!) you could use the tea tins to hold spices that usually come in ugly bulk plastic containers like these:
and take out the herbs and put them into your tea tins. Remember to wash the tea tin out before using or else you will have an interesting combination of tastes in your spices! For my spice tins, I found some old vintage cards that I had purchased for 1$ at a bookstore sale, cut out the size that fit the tin and glued the card onto the tin. Next, I cut out a piece of white glossy photo paper (you can use any you like) and wrote the name of the spice, then I just glued that photo paper label to the vintage card on my spice tin. Here's the finish product, enjoy!
