the best part of yoga is that afterwards you get to eat what you want

So why not try a class? I've been teaching basic hatha vinyasa (which is just another way of saying basic beginners with a flow) for alittle over 2 1/2 years now in private sessions, at our office once a week, at conventions, at a community center and for a few months at a healing center. With work and acupuncture school, I've had to widdle my time down dedicated to teaching, so I've stuck with once a week class at our office for since I started school, about 2 years ago...BUT I'm so excited to tell you that more people are interested!!! So because of the increased number of people who want to start taking weekly yoga classes and because the space in the office is just too cramped, I rented a space! If you live in the NY area and would like to try a class, I will be having the first beginners yoga class available to the public on Thursday, February 18th from 6p-7p at:

Nola Studios, 10th floor
250 West 54th Street
between 8th Avenue & Broadway
NY NY 10019

If you cannot make the class, I'll be featuring a pose each class in the "YogaPoses" button above on my navigation bar for you to try and check out! I haven't figured out how much to charge yet per class. Regular studios charge 16$ per class but I want to make yoga available to everyone, not just people who can afford that much money for a session (which is too much I think anyway). In order to cover the space, I will have to charge each person 5$ for the first class, and then I'll see how the first class at the studio goes to see about charging alittle more like 8$ pp per class.  Please email me if you would like to attend at thereallifetravels@yahoo.com, or if you are in the area, just stop by at 6!

See you there!
Peace,
Nikki

  1. I've always wanted to take a yoga class. Somehow I think NYC is a wee bit far to commute. :)

  2. Returning the favor of the visit and comment on my site. I'm so glad you post yoga poses! I'm on the other side of the country from you but have just started learning yoga this year. And it's sometimes hard to know what I'm supposed to do with my body while I'm trying to twist it into a pretzel. Thanks for the continued help!

  3. I'm a fitness instructor and I live in rural Nova Scotia (Canada). Even here I charge a $5 drop-in fee for my classes, and yoga classes even here in rural Nova Scotia cost at least $10. Don't under charge yourself - I think $8/person is still a great deal! just my opnion...
