Frugal Tip Friday - for your mail and your birthday!

I have bills that I pay every month. Bills like cable, internet, phone, mortgage, taxes, electric and top that with some credit card bills and mailing bills can get expensive! At 46 cents per stamp, thats almost at half a dollar and growing, stamps each month along with envelopes can amount to 10$ a month, which quickly adds up to upwards of 100$ each year! I realized fast not long ago that I could use that money that I saved from not spending on stamps and envelopes on my Starbucks chai and Zen tea addiction! Or at least not use the stamps and save them for a cute stamp collection like this one:

So I started checking out the sites of our cable company, internet, phone, taxes and electric and I found that they all allow online accounts where the bill is sent to the customer and can be paid online, without any stamps or envelopes! Martin and I had been mailing in bills until we found out that taxes and electric can all be paid online. Its a great way to save!

There is a wonderful site called Mr. Free Stuff. that lists different ways to get free stuff! Theres one in particular that I love that lists 36 Free food Deals for Birthday., basically giving you gift cards and other freebies on your birthday, how fun is that!?  Here they just a few:

"5. Beninhana’s

Hands down, this is the best birthday deal listed here. Join the “Chef’s Table” and receive a $30 birthday certificate from the Japanese restaurant. Sign your child up for the Kabuki Kids Club and they’ll receive a free souvenir mug of their choice with any purchase of a children’s meal (by an adult, that is).

3. Baskin Robbins

Sign up for the BR Birthday Club and, five days before your birthday, the ice-cream joint will send a free-scoop coupon and a discount on your birthday cake.

13. Cold Stone Creamery

Enjoy a free ice-cream creation at Cold Stone when you join their birthday club.

17. Dunkin’ Donuts

The donut king has stepped up the quality of their Dunkin Donuts coffee, which previously tasted like monkey spit. To entice in new customers, Dunkin’ Donuts gives new members of their DDPerks Club a free birthday beverage and another freebie to use any time you choose."

And those are just a few! Stop by Mr. Free Stuff to check out more!

Happy Friday! Hope you have a great weekend!
