Its so easy to take time for granted

Well Christmas isn't exactly turning out the way that I planned...I drove into work today with all the gifts piled high in the my back seat because Martin isn't coming with me for Christmas or picking me up, because he has to work emergency work all weekend until Sunday! Its very galliant of him, without him and the other guys they are forcing to work through the night (thats right, 7p-7a) people would be out of electricity, which means no lights, no heat, no tv. So I'm off to visit the fam for my sister's birthday tonight, but am going to swerve through the crazy traffic back early to have "our" little christmas together for a few hours. On the positive side I will get to visit with my sister who lives far away so that will be nice. I am very thankful that I have such a hardworking, wonderful husband and thankful that we both have our jobs during these crazy economic times, and thats what I'm focusing on instead of being bitter about not being able to do our traditional traveling trekk. I will miss him though as will the rest of the fam. He is somewhat of a "celebrity" lol with my family. They all just love him so much, almost as much as I do. I will remember to not take our time together for granted thats for sure. Until next week girlfriends!! Hope you all have a Happy Holiday!!!

  1. My Christmas was similar...had to go to two holiday parties with out my husband since he was working. It sinks, but it's better then the alternative of him being out of work. ;) So glad that you & I were able to make the most of the situation & be positive.

    Happy New Year!

  2. I bet your holiday turned out great. Sorry to hear about your husband, that is a bummer, isn't it? He does sound like he works hard though!

  3. I hope you had a wonderful holiday! I love your positive attitude.

  4. Awww, thats too bad Nikki- but at least you kept your chin up, and had fun with Steffi! How is she? Did you get our present?? :)

Thanks for stopping by and dropping some comment love!
